The Lombardi trophy is a very highly recognized trophy that can be identified by millions of fans everywhere. For the P.O.S. campaign for the upcoming football season, we wanted to use this highly recognized icon to catch the attention of Coors Light beer drinkers passing by in liquor stores all across the nation. The only problem was, the photo we picked, had copy-right protection, so we were unable to use it. But, if the photo could be recreated entirely from scratch, then that photo could be used, per say, but with full usage rights. I used Maya to model and render the trophy and placed into a similar background in photoshop, resembling the original photo, but with the tweaks we needed to fit our layout. It was a win-win situation.
